|| Blondes aren’t normally my thing, but just look at this girl! She has an awesome sense of style too with a quirky, bohemian yet classic touch. She is intelligent, worldly and super down to earth. Plus she is sitting with meerkats – and I think that takes the cake! Oh, did I mention her name was Isabel Lucas? ||

simplicity at theyskens theory

|| Yes, its that time of the year again: Fashion Week. With the onslaught of these weeks careening through cities across the world it seems almost impossible to keep up with what has been shown. There are loads of designers out there man! So I though what I would do is round up of each city’s highlights – according to me. So here is numero uno – New York. ||

|| When Emmanuelle Alt decided to dedicate the entire February 2012 issue of Paris Vogue to Daria, her work was pretty much done. With the same ensemble feeling that seems to be a running theme in the new Vogue HQ, Alt and her team headed to Las Vegas to capture the ultimate pieces for Summer. Images of Daria as prairie wife and cowgirl in the red dessert are juxtaposed against her as an Elvis impersonator with some wicked Japanese hairstyles flying about. Kitsch, flashing lights of hotel casinos and grandiose white mansions allude to a bygone time, a place where the old and the new meet and collaborate in order to make the perfect setting for the mixed up world that we live in today. This is the place that we have found ourselves in, and this is the place where we revel in the eclecticism that makes up our lives.

the all new vogue.fr

|| Now this is the way to launch a new and updated vogue.fr site! The site now reads more like a blog with a slick design and super easy browsing. I will be spending way more time on here now without its fussy old layout getting in my way. ||

|| So, when these launched last year I was an idiot not to buy them straight away. Now they are on my wanted list. Yes, they are awkward, and some would say hideous. But just look at how cool they can look when paired with some toned down classic cut jeans and a blazer. These shoes hold all the cards, they give you height while still being uber comfortable. Navigating cobbled streets of Europe – no problem! Running late for meetings – no problem! They add some ruff-n-tuffness to floaty skirts, or some fun to more classic looks. ||

|| No matter what you doing this weekend get yourself out there and have some fun with your clothes. Add a little drama; don some understated lines in bright, bold colours and go for classic fabrics. So if I was headed to a garden party, out for dinner or out camping in the desert here’s what I would love to wear. ||
